Enables a more efficient assessment of the socket fit.
Optimal Socket Adaptation
Optimizes the fit of the socket to the patient — both statically and dynamically.
Improves the efficiency of the fitting process, drastically reducing the number of appointments required to produce an optimal fit.
Keeps digital records of all appointments for every patient.
Provides access to quantitative bio-data for real-time analysis, complementing the patient’s qualitative evaluation.
Data for Decision Validation
Provides data to support claims to insurance companies
Coming Soon: Tracking Patient’s Performance
Future developments will enable real-time monitoring of the patient’s progress anytime, anywhere.
Select the number of INSIGHT Sensors to be used - between 4-16, depending on the socket size and the desired surface coverage.
Inspect strips for damage before use. Apply the strips longitudinally inside the socket without overlapping strips or occluding markers. Leave the connectors hanging free to the outside of the socket. Do not use INSIGHT Sensors with the same numeric identifier.
Place the socket inside the INSIGHT Scanner, with the proximal part facing up.
Press and hold the “Release” button to close the socket holder. The system will stop automatically when in place. The loose connectors of the INSIGHT Sensors should stay clear of the socket holder.
Close the Scanner door. The system will not start scanning otherwise.
Open Adapttech’s App and follow the App’s user guide.
Tap “Scan” to start acquiring the 3D model of the socket. While the scanning occurs, you can fill in the patient’s information.
Once the scan is finished (as indicated by a message in the App), open the door and press and hold the “Release button” to release the socket.
Remove the socket and assemble it back on the prosthesis.
Place the INSIGHT Wearable around the socket. As suggested in the image, the logo should be placed laterally.
Connect the INSIGHT Sensors strips to the INSIGHT Wearable.
Patient can now wear the prosthesis.
In case of a dynamic analysis (with gait), a second INSIGHT Wearable device, WIMU, should be added. The placement depends on the type of amputation, as suggested by the illustration above.
Turn the INSIGHT Wearable(s) device(s) on.
Connect the App with the selected device(s). Follow the App’s user guide.
Start the tests. In the case of a static analysis, the patient stands upright and still. In a dynamic analysis, the patient is walking. In both cases, the pressure profile of the residual limb socket interface is presented in real time over the 3D model. Results are saved in the App.
After completing your analysis, tap “Save” and conclude the test.
Remove the prosthesis from the patient.
Disconnect the INSIGHT Sensors from the INSIGHT Wearable
Carefully remove and store the INSIGHT Sensors (after cleaning them according to the instructions in the Sensors User Guide) and the INSIGHT Wearable.
Perform the necessary adjustments to the socket.
