Adapttech is a UK biomedical company founded by Frederico Carpinteiro and Mario Saenz Espinoza with the goal of improving the quality of life for people with physical limitations through the use of innovative and smart wearable technologies.

Our heritage

When the founders of Adapttech decided to start the company, they noticed that there were lots of companies and research institutions focused on finding cures or permanent solutions for just as many diseases and conditions, but barely anyone working to help people cope with these problems in the meantime.

Our mission

Our goal is to develop technologies that give people who live with physical limitations a better day-to-day quality of life. These are what Adapttech call “Adaptation Technologies”.

Adapttech will not be a one product company – INSIGHT system is just the first step in the journey. We want to use our technology in other fields of healthcare to help more providers and patients enjoy the benefits of a faster, more comfortable recovery, and a better quality of life.

Our vision is to become a worldwide reference in innovation, design, and quality in the biomedical devices industry.

The Adapttech team began with founders Frederico Carpinteiro and Mario Saenz Espinoza who share a common background in biomedical engineering. Within a year of launching the company, the team had grown to 10 people and continues to expand.

The Adapttech team is made up of engineers, developers and designers working closely together to improve the quality of life for people with physical limitations.

Adapttech also works in partnership with medical providers in Europe and the USA to test the INSIGHT System software in clinics to validate the technology and garner feedback from clinicians and patients who will most benefit from our technology.
